Yummy Tim Tams

A while ago I was asked if I would be interested in reviewing Tim Tams, which only became available in the U.S. in January. Tim Tams are Australian cookies with cult following – I had in fact tried them a few times because when I was growing up in Switzerland and going to international schools, I had a couple of Australian friends. Then in New York, I was able to get some at the Tuck Shop.

Tim Tams are currently available at Target and are sold under the Pepperidge Farm brand. I have not been able to get any information on whether they are going to be available past March. And, by the way, my Target has been out of them for weeks. I think I saw the Tim Tams there once since January.

The two flavors available at Target are the Chocolate Crème and the Caramel – I personally prefer the Chocolate Crème – two crispy chocolate biscuits with a layer of a mousse-like crème. What’s not to like?

The very nice folks at the Mr. Youth marketing company sent me two packages of Chocolate Crème Tim Tams –I devoured the first, but saved the second for a giveaway so that you, one of my dear readers, can enjoy it.

To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is leave a comment telling me why you love Tim Tams or, if you have not yet tried them, why you would love to try them.

Please leave your comment by March 30, 2009 at midnight, EST. When you leave your comment, be sure to link to your blog or, if you are not a blogger, leave your email address, so I can contact the winner after I use the random number generator thingie. Bonus entries – if you got to the I Love Tim Tams site and find one cute thing (or even just a coupon to use at Target on Tim Tams), leave a second comment saying you visited the I Love Tim Tams site and what you saw there that was either cute or funny or even that you just picked up the coupon. That way you can get up to two entries to this giveaway.

I will announce a winner on March 31!

I have never tried them before. And I’m a chocolate addict, so of course I want dibs.

My son went to Australia last year and he loved them so much that he brought some back with him for us to try and they are as good as you say they are. He was so excited about them he was even saying why doesn’t someone import them in Greece. Pity we can’t get them here.

I’ve never tried them, but I like discovering new (to me) foods.

Too funny! I was just at Target today and saw that someone had them in their cart. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I darted to the aisle and snatched up some for myself. YUMMY! And I agree, CHOCOLATE all the way!

I haven't tried Tim Tams before, but I keep hearing about them. I haven't seen these in the stores, but maybe I'm just not being focused enough haha. This looks like something the whole family can enjoy together & also sounds really great tasting! I'm going to be on the lookout for these!
