Looking Forward to Sunday

One of the things I love about Sundays is going to the farmer’s market in Dupont Circle. This time of year, especially, it’s beautiful and full of color. And where other than a market would you see purple peppers. I love new discoveries like that:

Ahhh…this post reminds me of my D.C. Sunday ritual. Wake-up watch "CBS Sunday Morning" followed by the political commentary shows, read the Post and make breakfast while watching/listening to the tv (I always multi-task). Following by a walk to Dupont for the Farmer's Market. A wonderful way to spend Sunday.

We had those, too, at our Saturday market. We have markets on Saturday and Wednesday from April to October, and Saturdays year round.

Did you buy any purple peppers? I wonder if the taste is different.

Those purple peppers are BEAUTIFUL! They look incredibly exotic and rich – I can just see them being set aside for Emperors. Any idea if they retain their wonderful color when they are cooked?
