November Goals

I love love love how bloggers set monthly goals. Every month I set some for me, in my trusty planner pad, but invariably do not end up blogging about them because something else grabs my attention for the blog, or some of the goals are just too personal.  This month I decided I would share some of my goals for the month with you:

* Focus on being present
* Increase me time
* Be more active on twitter
* Start on holiday cards {these totally suffered last year on account of me just having moved}
* Figure out vacation days for the next couple of months
* Spend more time with my MP3 player {I know  this is second-nature to so many of you, but I tend to neglect using mine}
* Make lots of different squash recipes 
* Keep up doing yoga twice a week

Aren't Planner Pads just the best?? These are fantastic goals.

Love your goals! I plan to eat more squash as well like spaghetti squash used as a pasta. And I think personal sharing really does help to connect people, so good for you.

Thanks for sharing your goals. You've inspired me to consider goals for November as well.

But on a more pressing note, there is an acorn squash on my counter calling out for some more exciting treatment than the boring in-the-oven-in-some-salted-water treatment. Any creative vegan suggestions for me (my acorn squash and I would appreciate it)?

As for acorn squash, this is my favorite recipe: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Roasted-Acorn-Squash-with-Chile-Vinaigrette-236007

The only difference is that I use just 1 tablespoons of olive oil to cook the squash, and another 1-2 Tablespoons of olive oil in the dressing.

i need to get a head start on holiday cards, too! i did NOTHING for the holidays last year b/c i just started work. totally want to change that this year. good luck w/ your goals!!

I totally get your challenge with spending time with your mp3 player. One of the reasons I spend time with mine is because I play it in my car (I have my ipod hooked up thru my stereo). But, I know this isn't an option for you. Another trick I do is play it while I'm in the shower. I hook it up to small speakers in my bathroom, and listen to podcasts while I shower, do my hair, & get dressed. It is a relaxing way to multitask and save time.
