Today’s lunchbox is by Faye, a regular guest blogger here.  See Faye’s past lunchboxes here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.

  • Veggie juice: celery, collard greens, carrot and cucumber
  • Smoothie: almond milk, strawberries and maca

I’ve read and heard several times that maca is great for hormone-related issues so I went out and bought about a pound of the stuff and am mixing it into my almond milk and strawberry smoothies. I was somewhat sceptical, but I think I’m actually noticing a difference. I’ll wait another month and see. I take about half a teaspoon a day.

And that carob pudding has been a staple for me since I went high raw about a year ago now (my anniversary is March 18!). Easy and yummers.

Hope is in the air. Spring is coming. The snow is melting. I’m less likely to kill myself by slipping on black ice. My chihuahua is coming out of hibernation. I couldn’t be more excited about seeing the sun again. Have  a great week!

Thank you Faye. I cannot wait for Spring either!

This is awesome! So glad I found this blog.
My husband can't do dairy, and he loves cashew cheese at Pure FOood and Wine when we visit NYC (often). So glad I found a resource.
thanks

Terrific and cute post! Need one of those smoothies now. 😉

When I read the post title, my brain interpreted Lunchbox VIII to Lunchbox Villi. LOL That could be the result of it being too early here, my reading too much stuff on celiac/gluten intolerance of late in getting ready for a forum on Saturday, or both I guess. Anyway, had to come over and read … I like this lunch far better. 😉
