Vanilla Bean Noel, A Year-Round Scent

I remember writing that my favorite Vanilla Bean Noel (originally a BBW scent) dupes were Coconut Hut’s and Cleanse Your Soul’s. I now have to add Skindecent to the list as I just tried her dupe. I brought the Skindecent Whipped Moisture Cream in Vanilla Bean Noel (aka VBN) for my trip to Savannah and it is just as rich and caramelly as CH’s and CYS’s.

VBN is truly a wonderful scent and I wear it more than just around Christmas – except for June to August, I wear it very often. I got my friend Amy into it as well. In fact, I think she loves VBN more than I do, which is impressive since it is one of my all time favorite scents. Last December, when we went to San Francisco, I was in the midst of a huge Cleanse Your Soul VBN kick, so brought mainly VBN products for the trip, and of course shared the awesome CYS VBN emollient with Amy. By the end of the trip, Amy had put in an order for two jars!

I seem to get people into indie etailers a lot. On the cold process soap front, I think I just got Amy interested in those as well. When she came up for our Bliss outing a few weeks ago, she kindly drove up some of my stuff from DC and I threw some Hawley Road soaps in one of the boxes. Amy commented several times how good the soaps smelled and how her car smelled wonderful all week – her favorites turned out to be blueberry bakery scents. So the samples in Blueberry Cheesecake and Blueberry Muffins stayed in the car, and I added a full sized Hawley Road VBN to her little soap stash. I need to ask her what she thought of it. Hawley Road uses the same VBN oil as CYS in case you want the CP soap to go with your lotion or butter in VBN!

Oooh, must try SDE’s version of VBN. I do really like the CYS dupe. Thanks for the heads up! And yes, you have a gift for getting people into e-tailers – our 1st swap was for some SDE stuff and I’ve been obsessed ever since! Not that that’s a bad thing, of course. 😀

When I retire, I may be out of money from all the fabulous soaps and scents you’ve turned me on to, forced to eat dog food… but I’m gonna smell freakin’ fantastic!!! :-) I just ordered a bunch more stuff from Cleanse Your Soul… you should see if they will cut you a commission deal, lol!
