Renewed Interest in Stila

So at the risk of incurring the wrath of my Stila aficionado friends, I have to admit I was getting a bit bored by the brand. Their palettes are beautiful, but how many can I justify buying? Plus, I am a big fan of their eyeshadow singles because I like to be able to put them in their metal palettes, which I find sturdier.

Problem: there just have not been that many new eyeshadow singles in the last year. But then, this became available – eye shadow duos that are the size of a single. How cool is that? That means that instead of a 6-pan palette holding 6 colors, I could technically go up to 12.

They seem to be available online only, as I have not yet seen them at Sephora. Plus you have to sign up to be a Beauty Insider to be able to order them – fortunately being an Insider is free, so that’s easy.

I am particularly intrigued with the Salome duo, since I love neutrals, but I also want to see the Kajiki and Mara Simba as the colors promise to be rich. Speaking of rich, the texture of these shadows is supposed to be, according to reviews, even more buttery than existing Stila shadows.

So, my Stila boredom has been erased by these beauties. If you get to try them before me, do post a comment with your thoughts!
