{Fashion & Style} Foley & Corinna’s Mid City Tote

by Valerie on June 4, 2009 · 6 comments

I am blogging about fashion twice today – first here, and also as a guest blogger over at Corporette. Thank you Corporette – it’s been a pleasure to guest blog for you this week while you are enjoying your honeymoon!

Now let’s talk about purses. One of my favorite, and long-overdue, purchases earlier this year was a Foley & Corinna Mid City Tote. I had my eye on them for a couple of years, but always kept changing my mind on color – I almost bought it in glossy green and then in a dark eggplant, and then again in a green – but I kept putting it off. A few months ago I decided that I should just get it in black, and I am so glad I did. I use it mainly on weekends when I don’t have a ton of stuff to haul around – during the week, I use my great big Jet Setter Jr. for work. I love that the Jet Setter can hold a lot of files – incidentally I think the Mid City Tote is great if you are wearing business casual, but doesn’t work with suits, something about it being deconstructed. And if I am out and about all day on a weekend I tend to use one of my larger bags. But the Mid City Tote is perfect when you want something vintagey and chic – I especially love that it folds in half – that makes it lighter looking and perfect for a summer outfit. Who knows, maybe eventually I will get it a Mid City Tote in a fun color too!
