Happy Tuesday and Something for DC Readers

Java green curry
Happy Tuesday! As I often do after getting back from being out of town, life just seems to move way way too quickly.  I just got back from Tuesday night yoga and am about to watch the Glee finale (love the DVR).  I wanted to stop by and tell my DC readers about about an email I received yesterday from Live Green, a membership organization that provides support to green businesses in the local community and secures great discounts on everyday green products and services for consumers.   Tomorrow (June 9), Live Green is launching a weekly online discount program, Greenbacks, offering consumers at least 40% off a range of eco-friendly products, services and events. The goal of these these discounts is to give DC residents new reasons to shop green each week while keeping more green in their wallets. For three days starting Wednesday, Greenbacks’ inaugural offering will be $25 off a $50 gift card to two of DC’s greenest restaurants, Java Green and Café Green. Now, you all know how much I have been enjoying rediscovering Java Green (check out the yummy curry dish I had there recently, photo, above) and trying out tasty dishes at its new sister location, Cafe Green, so even though I have not yet used Greenbacks, I did want to mention it to all of you.  Apparently, Live Green will offer new deals each week at eco-friendly businesses in the DC-metro area. Greenback vouchers are bought online at a new website, printed out, and redeemed at the vendor’s location.

Wow, how lucky you are to have such opportunities. There is no such thing here in Greece as to get any kind of discounts on any edible products.
Have a wonderful weekend.

hi valerie!

ok so the last post w/ the fudge…omg I posted about that fudge a couple weeks ago. didnt know who's recipe it was but ricki of diet desert dogs told me it was Kim's and i am so glad you made it and raved about it. not gonna lie, i am scared to waste good cocoa on something that's meh. your review gives me great hope! is it really authentic tasting? can you taste the beans at all or does it "lack" for something, and come off as "health food". Sorry, i want it sinful :)
