So this afternoon I checked the CVS on Court Street in Cobble Hill — that was the *one* place there had been an actual sighting of the elusive Sally Hansen La Cross Foot Smoothing Disk. My friend who loves it actually bought hers there. I had checked there five weeks ago, but no luck. I am not in that part of Brooklyn often — which is good because it’s usually for an afternoon tea extravaganza at Sweet Melissas Patisserie — so I had not been back to check since then.
Sweet Melissas is even more adorable in the summer — it has a lovely back courtyard/garden which is quiet and very beautiful. If you are in New York, it is worth the treck from Manhattan. Be sure to ask for the vanilla tea. So lovely.
Note: I wrote this post over a year before I switched to a gluten-free near-vegan and no-refined sugar diet, so have no idea if Sweet Melissa mentioned in this post has gluten-free and allergy-friendly options.
