So what makes me qualified to write City Girl Lifestyle?

Note – City Girl Lifestyle was the name of this blog before it became City|Life|Eats.

The beauty of blogging is that you can just decide you are qualified and prattle on about xyz topic and block comments so no one can tell you how unqualified you are.

Since I don’t block comments, I figured I should tell you about why I am really an inveterate city girl. I grew up in cities until almost-age 16 (except for two not-so good years where there were no sidewalks where I lived — that was bad). Then I went to college in suburbia, graduating 10 years ago and swearing to never live somewhere where driving was required or even strongly encouraged for day-to-day life.

Since 1998, I have lived and worked in Washington, DC and New York, with a non-break from working to go to law school. And anyone who tells you they took a break from working to go to grad school, law school, business school, med school, and whatever else I may forget — they’re nuts. Law school was not a break — it was work, and I worked part-time for most of it.

But I digress.

One more thing — just because I write from a city girl’s perspective does not mean that this blog is only for city people. Frankly, if you love anything about cities, you could find something you like on this blog. And since one of the great things of city living is the yummy food, that’s definitely going to be part of this blog.

Finally, a note on posting and frequency — I plan to post Monday to Friday. As you can see there’s already set topics for Monday, Wednesday, Friday. The other weekdays are not scheduled. As for weekends — those will be more the occasional spontaneous rant/musing/thing of interest.
