Beauty Monday – Carol’s Daughter Almond Cookie

by Valerie on December 16, 2008 · 0 comments

It’s been freezing here in Washington the last few days, and I was planning to write about Carol’s Daughter Body Butters today — they are wonderful to stay moisturized in cold weather.

Except that today it is balmy and in the 60s. So instead I am going to tell you about one of my favorite year-round fragrances, Carol’s Daughter Almond Cookie. I generally have trouble falling in love with almond scents because they are too bitter, but this fragrance is a lovely almond vanilla blend, with some sandalwood. I don’t generally like Sandalwood either, but it gives a warm quality to the almond vanilla blend.

I am in love with this fragrance AND, as a bonus, all of Carol’s Daughter products are paraben-free. Since summer 2007 I have worn Almond Cookie regularly, and it truly is a year-round scent – light enough for warm days, but also gourmand enough for winter.
