Last weekend’s retreat with Kimberly Wilson was a wonderful reminder about artist dates, namely one hour solo adventures to feel the soul and creative spirit. The funny thing is that I am quite good at doing artist-date-like things but I am not good at really acknowledging they are an artist date. Going to the Dupont Market is a great example – it’s a wonderful artist date, where all your senses are awakened, but there are Sunday mornings where I just rush to the market and rush through. Some of it is because of the overwhelming crowds and people who shove (I know, sad).
Well, my resolution for this week is to turn my Sunday morning market-time into an Artist Date again. Picture by City Girl.
