Blog Friendships

A lovely and welcome surprise about blogging is the wonderful friendships and connections I have made through blogging. Melita and Carolyn have both become friends to me in the last few months, and I feel so very lucky to have connected with them. And I was very lucky to receive mail from them both recently.

As you know, I met Melita in person when she was in town for the Tranquilspace retreat – last Saturday, I got home to find a note from her, with the note “open carefully” on the back flap:

Pretty card and pressed flowers

I was delighted to find out that the reason to open carefully was that she had included some pressed flowers – I hope you can see them on the picture, just below the card. What a lovely idea!

The same day as I received Melita‘s note, I also received Carolyn‘s adorable Artist’s Date package – lots of stickers, collage supplies, some fabric, and a note:

Artists Date Package

I love how Carolyn tailored the contents of the package to my interests and included some food-related collaging materials. It was just so lovely and thoughtful.

Thank you so much to both Melita and Carolyn. Do go check out their blogs – they are both great reads.

I love meeting new people through blogging! While it's true I probably won't see these people in person just because I live so remotely (seriously, can't get to where I live unless you fly or take a ferry/cruise, no roads out!) it's still fun to connect with people who have the same interests.

I agree – it is great to connext with like minded people in the blogosphere. Also loved how Carolyns package was tailored to my interests/blog….

Pressed flowers are so pretty – I used to do that when I was younger. May have to restart….
