Workshop with Shiva Rea

Today I went to a workshop with Shiva Rea called Bhakti Sadhana – the Sacred Flow.  I had heard of Shiva Rea before and was excited to see that Flow Yoga Center was hosting two days of workshops with her, I jumped on the change to try a different type of yoga with a teacher who is only rarely in Washington, DC.  I signed up for the Bhakti practice rather than the more intense Vira practice mainly because I was curious and wanted to try something new.  I found the class to be a little less structured than I am used to, but really fun and energizing.  You can read more about Shiva Rea and Prana Flow here.  As someone who loves routine, I can easily get stuck in a rut and my yoga practice is not immune from that either.  Going to workshops like this is a wonderful reminder that going outside of my usual comfort zone can be fun and inspiring.

Soooo jealous! This is the third time she's been to DC since last November and every single time I've been away during her workshops! One day I will get to take a class with her! I wish she'd offer her prenatal teacher training so I could take that too!
