Is It Really Only Tuesday?

Hi everyone – it has been a heck of a long couple of days for me at work.  I did make it to an actual yoga class for Tuesday night yoga tonight, so I am happy about that, especially since my visit to the ER last month, Tuesday night yoga had involved a lot of savasana and/or child’s pose and not much else.  I have a post brewing about fear and yoga but that’s not happening tonight.  Instead, let’s talk about crackers and dip.  I love crackers and dip on days where work is the kind of hectic where you can’t take a break to eat.  My usual solution is hummus  but today I put the hemp seeds from my package of  IHerb goodies to good use:

Cheezy dip

I made Averie’s Cheezy Hemp Nacho Dip.  It is absolutely delicious.  I had it with some Mary’s Gone Crackers for my snack at 5pm, and it really made my day better, especially since I had just had some  crackers with hummus for lunch and was starving by 5pm and still had a couple more hours of work before going to yoga at 8.45pm..  Averie has suggested trying it with cashews instead of hemp seeds, so I may do that next time, though I have to admit I am really partial already to hemp seeds.  This is a lovely dip in that it tastes rich but does not feel heavy, which is a great combination.  Also, Averie is having a giveaway for a TofuXpress gizmo. Ok, it’s not a gizmo, but my brain is a little fried.  If you are sick of using paper towels and/or dishtowels to press your tofu, you should definitely check out the giveaway.  On that note, I am off to finish slurping on my green smoothie and to sleep.  Good night!

it's just a little bit different and really awesome…trust me, you will love it!

also if you make my kale chip coating, you can use that as a dip..it's what happens when you use cashews as a base rather than seeds.
