{Today’s Lunchbox} Lots of Treats

Lunchbox

Tuesday lunchbox 007

Today’s lunch and two (maybe three, depending how hungry I am) snacks:

I had not meant to make the chocolate pudding today as the pumpkin pie overnight oats and kale chips are  lovely treats, but had a rapidly dying avocado that needed using up, so hence the many treats in today’s lunchbox! Yay for treats.

A question

I am still working with the concept of food rotating, though am very much at the baby steps level.  On the upside, I feel like I have a newfound awareness of how I really do eat certain foods very frequently and, food rotating concerns aside, it is nice to push for more variety in my diet.  On the downside, I am not completely convinced of the concept – I know some ND’s and other holistic health practitioners swear by it, but I also find it hard to believe that it is that necessary when eating an already very healthful diet.  So my skepticism is getting in the way too, despite the fact that on one hand I can see the value of the concept.  None of this is helped by the logistical challenge that it feels like. Thoughts from others who rotate foods would be very much appreciated – particularly, which food groups do you rotate the most?

Other news and more questions

I feel like this blog is more about food and less about living – and I want to change that – I miss writing about the other interests in my life.  Admittedly, I have focused on food-related posts because that has been my main non-work activity as things have been really busy at work for a while now, but I do not want this blog to be 100% a food blog. Since switching from writing about solely green beauty, I have really liked the idea of a food and mindful living blog.  I am still toying with how to structure posts moving forward, and as long-time readers will tell you, making changes to my blogging is a slow undertaking.  Would you rather see the lunchbox posts as part of a longer post – i.e. a bit of my thoughts on a topic unrelated to the lunchbox, with the lunchbox as the second half of the post (sort of the reverse of today’s post but using headers). Or would you rather have the lunchbox posts stay separate? I am leaning towards the later,  but curious to hear your thoughts.

I for one would like to see the lunchbox posts remain separate. :)

It is your blog and you can write about whatever you like ; ) But I think doing the lunchbox posts separate would be nice.

I think it might be easier for you if the lunches were separate? But it's all up to you since it's coming from your heart! PS Your husband's meals always look yummy!

I agree – either would work! Although I kind of like how they are separate. :)
